Promek AS was founded in 1989. In its early years, the company produced rustproof equipment for the fishing industry and handled boat repairs.

Production was eventually phased into the building of aluminium boats, and since 1992 more than 100 work, fishing and leisure boats from 7 to 19 metres have been supplied to customers all over the country. We have also supplied boats abroad, including to Hong Kong, Spain the Shetlands, the Faeroe Islands and Sweden.

The boats are built indoors in a 48 x 72 metre hall with a height of 9 metres. The door is 11.7 metres wide and 8.7 metres high. Crane capacity is 3 x 6.2 tonnes. The company recently invested in the latest pulse welding equipment and has its own computer controlled plasma cutting machine.
